Next Big Thing magazine is a quarterly Canadian lifestyle and interview publication which features local and international people and events. It details business proles, health and fitness trends, and newsworthy stories which touch on the lives of women from 25 to 50 years in North America and Europe.
Their main goal is to “showcase success stories of intelligent, ingenious and successful individuals”, particularly from among today’s women.
In May of 2013, Next Big Thing magazine awarded me the honour of running my profile as one of the 11 “Top Businesswomen In Ottawa”. Under this Spring/Summer 2013 edition, the “Vanity of the Waltz” entrepreneur showcase featured my bio alongside 10 other successful women well known for their contributions to Ottawa’s business world and considered as inspiring forces.
The fellow businesswomen featured within this publication included notable names such as France Desfosses & Sheila McLaine (Planet Coffee), Sue Aba-Akima (Akima Mobile), Meghan Max (Mind Body Soul Health), Lindsay Appotive (True Bijoux), Hana Abaza (Wedding Republic), Leslie Anne Hook (SLA Beauty Group), Amanda Lunan (Auntie Loo’s), Dr. Supriya Mishra (visionTech4u), and Gwen Madiba (House of Dare).
I’m grateful to the TIME Vision team and everyone else involved in this endeavor, including Ola George (Editor), Renee Elizabeth (interviewer), Troy Finch (photographer), Aa Agyeman (make-up), Andrea Smith (hairstylist), Avah Taylor (stylist), and the Anik Boutique for their professional and thorough effort which helped make the Vanity of the Waltz experience a memorable one.
As well, I’d like to thank the Next Big Thing magazine for this honour.
